This is Howard Thurston's Demon's Club
Hat.
The Demon's Club was formed on December
7, 1911 and Howard Thurston was elected honorary president in 1912.
I was contacted in 2001 by a lady that
had items from her dad who was a magician and a member of the Demon's
Club.
She said she was willing to sell her
dad's magic memorabilia and was wondering if I would like to purchase the
collection.
One of the amazing pieces in the
collection was a Demon's Club hat, which was originally Harry Kellar's,
then passed down to Howard Thurston, and then given to this women's
father.
The 3 magicians initials are written in
the hat.
