What Magician & Magic Collector

Tim Moore Had To Say About
ThurstonMasterMagician.com
"I myself love magic, so for me to be here tonight is quite a privilege, to be in the resting place of Howard Thurston. I also have here, lets see, is he around, my good friend, yes, Rory Feldman, from New York City. This guy is probably the world’s foremost collector of Howard Thurston memorabilia, as well as probably the world’s greatest student of Howard Thurston himself. So its a real privilege to have Rory Feldman here.  I’m going to speak about him after the show because I want you all to know a little bit more about him"
"Seriously folks, it has really been a tremendous honor to be here with you all tonight to do magic, in Howard Thurston’s mausoleum and I know there’s many other people that are buried here, but of course for Rory and myself, who Thurston inspired.  Me, even as a youngster, even as a teenager, I knew about Howard Thurston because he was like a David Copperfield in his day. He was the king, he was the magic god.  Our society really viewed him like we view our movie stars.  He was at the top, the pinnacle of the entertainment world and of entertainment success.  And so, to be here tonight is a true privilege and honor.  And what I would like to do, is have each and everyone of you walk out of here with one of these cards, because you can go to Rory Feldman’s web-site that Rory has painstakingly  put together over the years.  And you can see some incredible memorabilia, as well as ephemera, that were not only associated with Howard Thurston but actually belonged to Howard Thurston.  He has a number of things that actually belonged to Thurston himself and there are a lot of other interesting things that are there."

"And the other thing that we've been talking about, not only to one another, but to Janice, your fine host tonight, because this abbey has been in a little bit of disrepair.  We are talking about setting up a non-profit foundation to raise funds to up-keep the abbey and so I think through the site (www.ThurstonMasterMagician.com) we're going to attempt to do that."
